[CALUG] FC4 update issues?

I am just guessing here. It would seem that Joe might have been worried
that VMWare may have been interfering somehow with the yum process. And
it would seem that he might care about either yum or links as they (more
likely, links) might be used by the CPAN module installers.

I would suggest finding out where yum puts its master indexes and/or
partially downloaded packages. Perhaps removing them if they are corrupt
might help. Then again, perhaps the RPM database is corrupt.
