Have you tried 'yousendit.com'?
You have to register with an email addr & a password.
THen you can upload a file and send an email to allow
people to get to it. They keep it around for 7 days.
Don't know anything about their security practices.
Oops. Just sent something to myself and there's a
100MB limit to the free acount, although it says
you can make a one time $2.99 pmnt to allow you
to send a 2GB file. Example xfer link:
